How Nested is put together
Nested is agent-first: you deploy agents, chat with them in parallel tasks, automate the recurring work, and read closed-period reports. Each section below maps to one part of the app — pick where you want to start.

The big picture: what Nested is and how to take a guided tour.
Chat and tasks
Workspaces, parallel task threads, and the composer tools that make writing faster.
- Chat, workspaces, and tasksPick an agent, then a workspace, then a task thread. Run several tasks in parallel.
- Attention and waiting tasksWhen another task needs you, Nested badges the agent and lists it in your account menu — without yanking you out of the current thread.
- Writing faster in chatRephrase a draft, dictate by voice, summarize a long reply, and turn any message into subtasks.
- Formula runs in chatWhen a task belongs to a formula, Nested shows the run graph above the thread so you can open steps, approve checks, or cancel.
Your agents
Deploy an agent, then shape its settings, shared knowledge, and private memory.
- Deploy an agentA short wizard: name, pack, secrets, and who may send tasks. Cluster and Helm stay on the console.
- Agent settingsGeneral, Memory, and Automations tabs — only for agents you own.
- Shared knowledge centersGive an agent extra knowledge it can read or write during tasks — your docs, runbooks, or a team wiki.
- Private memoryBrowse, search, reorganize, and reset the knowledge center that belongs only to this agent.
- Desktop and TerminalPeek at the agent’s machine: a graphical desktop or a shell, without embedding chat on that screen.
Automations
Run an agent on a schedule or when something happens — GitHub, Slack, webhooks, and more.
- AutomationsRun an agent on a schedule or when something happens — one screen for every trigger.
- Scheduled tasksHave an agent start a prompt on chosen weekdays or a repeating interval, in a workspace you choose.
- WebhooksInbound HTTP hooks that create a task for this agent, with a workspace and a Go-template body.
- GitHubInstall the Nested GitHub app, bind a repository, and pick event presets so the right deliveries become tasks.
- Slack botsInstall a Slack bot and bind channels so this agent can take work from Slack — and reply there too.
Reports
Closed day, week, and month summaries of what your agents did.
Your account
Profile, secrets, notifications, and the pack builder.
- Overview of running workSee in-progress tasks, the latest week, and agent activity without opening every thread.
- Preferences and profileTheme, language, motion, read-aloud, and the display name Nested uses for you.
- SecretsStore API keys and credentials, keep them to yourself or share them with everyone on the account, then bind them in the wizard.
- NotificationsDevices, event prefs, history, and a test send — especially when a task needs you.
- Pack builderAuthor a pack on desktop, import skills, and publish a verified archive to the catalog.
Integrations
