Chat, workspaces, and tasks
Pick an agent, then a workspace, then a task thread. Run several tasks in parallel.
Why it works this way
Workspaces keep topics from mixing. Tasks are the actual conversations: you can run several in parallel, fold sub-tasks under a lane, and reopen any thread later.
Before you start
- Select an agent. The sidebar lists that agent’s workspaces.
- Create a workspace if you need a new topic. On desktop you can collapse the sidebar to give the thread more room.
Steps
- Pick a workspace, then a task — or start a new task in that workspace.
- Write in the composer. Enter sends; Shift+Enter makes a new line. Stop cancels a stream.
- When a task is closed (completed, canceled, failed, or rejected), Nested replaces the composer with New task.
- On a phone, composing opens a full-screen sheet so the keyboard has room.
- The task header also holds Runbooks (the agent’s step-by-step log), Share (a public link), and Export (the conversation as Markdown).
Example
In the Launch workspace, keep “Draft the announcement” running and open “Review the checklist” beside it. Sub-tasks hang on a lane under the parent instead of cluttering the list.
