Attention and waiting tasks

When another task needs you, Nested badges the agent and lists it in your account menu — without yanking you out of the current thread.

Why it works this way

Parallel work only feels safe if waiting tasks are obvious. Attention is for input or auth the agent cannot finish alone, not for every in-progress run.

Before you start

• Nothing extra is required for in-app badges and the attention inbox.
• Turn on notifications if you want a ping when you are in another task or away from Nested.

Steps

1. Watch for a count on an agent in the sidebar, and a count on your account avatar.
2. Open the account menu (desktop) or the bell tab (mobile) to see waiting tasks.
3. Select a row to jump straight to that agent, workspace, and thread.

Example

You are drafting in Research while Builder waits on a secret. The Builder row shows a badge; opening the inbox takes you straight to that task.
