Slack bots
Install a Slack bot and bind channels so this agent can take work from Slack — and reply there too.
Why it works this way
Some conversations start in Slack. Binding a channel to an owned agent keeps those messages in Nested tasks instead of a disconnected bot, and can post the agent’s final answer back into the thread.
Before you start
- Own the agent. Open its settings → Automations, then the Slack link under Raw bindings.
- Have permission to install an app in the Slack workspace.
Steps
- Install or pick a bot, then bind a channel to this deployment — or Any channel.
- Pick events: App mention, New message in channel (optionally filtered by a keyword), or an Emoji reaction.
- Messages in that channel can open or continue Nested tasks for this agent.
- Optional: Reply in thread, let the agent read the channel while it runs, and post its final message to a channel when it finishes.
- Remove a binding when the channel should stop routing here.
Example
Bind #launch-help to your support agent. A teammate’s question in Slack becomes a task in the Launch workspace, and the agent’s answer lands back in the thread.
