Formula runs in chat

When a task belongs to a formula, Nested shows the run graph above the thread so you can open steps, approve checks, or cancel.

Why it works this way

A formula is a sequence of gated steps. You author pack formulas in Pack builder; watching, answering, and stopping a run belong next to the chat it spawned.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Open the formula-owned task. The header shows the formula name, version, and status.
  2. Open this step only when that row already has a task. Pending or skipped steps stay as labels, not links.
  3. Approve or reject a human check on the row that is waiting.
  4. Cancel formula confirms, then stops in-flight steps and skips the rest.

Example

A “Ship the weekly digest” formula reaches a human check. You approve on the graph, Nested continues the next step, and the step’s chat stays one click away.
