GitHub
Install the Nested GitHub app, bind a repository, and pick event presets so the right deliveries become tasks.
Why it works this way
GitHub has hundreds of event types; you only want a few. Nested turns them into plain presets — pull request opened, review requested, CI finished — and can filter further by @mention so only the deliveries meant for this agent start work.
Before you start
- Connect GitHub under Connectors if Nested still needs an identity.
- Own the agent. Open its settings → Automations, then the GitHub link under Raw bindings.
- Install the Nested GitHub App on the organization or repository.
Steps
- Bind a repository: pick the org and repo, then one or more event presets (Pull request opened, Review requested, CI finished, and more).
- Optional: add Mentions logins (without @). The run only starts when one of these logins is @mentioned, requested as a reviewer, or assigned.
- Pick the workspace and message body. The webhook JSON is appended to the instructions, so {{ dig .JSON "comment" "body" }} inserts the comment text.
- Optionally let the agent react with an emoji and comment on the pull request when it finishes.
- Each binding is a row for this agent. Remove it when the repo should stop creating tasks.
Example
Bind acme/app with Pull request opened + Mentions nested-bot. When someone comments “@nested-bot please review” on a PR, the agent starts a task and comments back when done.
